How do I log into the admin control panel?

1. Go to www.your-store-address.com/admin

2. Enter your username and password.

3. Click 'login'.

How do I add a new product?

1. Go to the 'Catalog' menu and choose 'categories/products'.

2. Choose the category for your product or select add a 'new category'..

3. Click 'new product' and fill in your product's details.

How do I add a featured product?

1. First add your product using the instructions above.

2. Then go to the 'Catalog' menu and choose 'featured products'.

3. Click 'new product'.

4. Select the product you want to feature and click 'insert'.

How do I put a product on special?

1. Go to the 'Catalog' menu and choose 'specials'.

2. Click 'new product'.

3. Select the product you want to put on special and click 'insert'.

How do I edit a product?

1. Go to the 'Catalog' menu and choose 'categories/products'.

2. Click the category name to view all products in that category.

3. Click the Edit symbol and make any necessary changes.

How do I customize the information pages?

1. Go to the tools menu and choose 'define pages editor'.

2. Choose the page that you want to edit.

3. Enter your custom text and click 'save'.

How will I know when an order has been made?

You will receive an email containing the full order details. You can also check your orders in the admin control panel by going to the 'customer' menu and choosing 'orders'.

How can I view details about my customers?
Go to the 'customers' menu and choose 'customers'.

How can I check my customer's credit card details?
If you chose to process credit cards through your own merchant account, you can view your cutomer's credit card details by going to the 'customers' menu and choosing 'orders'. Then select the transaction that you want to view and click 'edit'.

How do I change the contact details for my store?

1. Go to the 'configuration' menu and choose 'my store'.

2. Select the fields you want to update and click 'edit'.

3. Enter your new contact details and click 'update'.

How can I change the shipping fees?

1. Go to the 'modules' menu and select 'shipping'.

2. Choose whether you want to 'install' or 'remove' a selected payment method.

3. Click 'edit' to change the price and details of your payment method.

Why doesn't my website show up in the search engines?

To get your site indexed in the search engines you need to do 2 things:

1. Optimize your webpages by including your keywords in the text and title of your site.

2. Get your site linked to other sites that are already indexed in the search engines.

When google finds a link to your site on another site, it adds your site to their index and increases your rankings. The more times you are linked from other related sites, the higher your ranking will be.

The easiest way to get your site linked to other sites is to submit your website to the online directories.

A search for web directories on google will give you thousands of other places to post your link.

There is no guarantee as to how long it will take for google to index your site but it usually takes a couple of months after you get your site listed on the directories.

Make sure you are uploading to the right web directory which is the public_html folder.

What is the path to my users files?
The path is /home/username/public_html

What is the local path to perl?
The path to perl is /usr/bin/perl

What is the path to sendmail?
The path to sendmail is /usr/sbin/sendmail

Are your server's Unix, or NT?
